Veranstaltungsreihe „Respect & Outlaw“ anlässlich des 70. Jahrestag
der Gründung des Staates Israel.
„Ein Land ohne Volk für ein Volk ohne Land“ ist einer der meist zitierten Sätze der Literatur des Zionismus – und vielleicht auch der problematischste. 1948 bedurfte es der Vertreibung von ca 700.000 Arabern um diesem Satz seine Berechtigung zu geben. Nakba, große Katastrophe nennen das die heutigen Palästinenser. Viele sagen, dass es sich dabei nicht um ein einmaliges Ereignis handelt. Der Wolfurter Michael Büchele lebte und arbeitete drei Jahre lang in Palästina. Aus dem was er dort erlebt, gefühlt und erhofft hat, hat er diese Veranstaltungsreihe konzipiert. Mit einen künstlerischen Zugang soll dieses historische Datum aus der Perspektive der Palästinenser reflektiert werden. Entstanden ist ein Statisches sowohl ein dynamisches Plakat zu dieser Veranstaltungsreihe. Zur Einleitung dieser Veranstaltung wird diese kleine Animation gezeigt und in jeder pause Statisch wiederholt.
Event series "Respect & Outlaw" on the occasion of the 70th anniversary
of the founding of the State of Israel.
„A land without a people for a people without land" is one of the most cited sentences in the literature of Zionism - and perhaps the most problematic. In 1948 it required the expulsion of about 700,000 Arabs to give this sentence its justification. Named as“Nakba“, the big catastrophe by the today's Palestinians. Some belief that this is not a one-time event but a still ongoing process. Michael Büchele from Wolfurt/Austria lived and worked in Palestine for three years. From what he experienced there, felt and hoped for, he has designed this series of events. With an artistic approach, this historical date should be reflected from the perspective of the Palestinians. The result is a static as well as a dynamic poster for this series of events.
